Call for nominations to be received. All people in the Diocese are invited to propose names to the Nominating Committee.

January 27-28, 2006
Interim reports of Nominating Committee and Transition
Committee at Diocesan Convention.

February 15, 2006
Nominations close; initial screening begins.

April, 2006
Screening and telephone interviews.

May, 2006
Nominating Committee meets with candidates.

June, 2006
Nominating Committee visits candidates onsite.

June 28, 2006
Nominees announced; at-large nomination period begins. People in the Diocese can propose nominees to be added to the slate, following established guidelines and subject to background checks.

July 5, 2006
At-large nomination period closes.

September 6-10, 2006
Presentation of nominees to the Diocese. People of the Diocese are invited to meet the Nominees in a variety of locations in the Diocese.

September 23, 2006
Special Convention to elect a diocesan Bishop.

October-November, 2006
Consents process. Bishops and Standing Committees offer their consent to the Ordination and Consecration of the Bishop-elect.

December 1, 2006
Bishop-elect in office in Newark.

January 20, 2007
One-day diocesan convention at Skylands on Route 10 in Randolph.

January 21, 2007
Farewell banquet for Marilyn and +Jack Croneberger at Skylands on Route 10 from 4:00p

January 27, 2007
Consecration of the 10th Bishop of Newark at NJ PAC, 11a.
